“Sweet Dance”: My Latest Piano Composition

Sweet Dance

Dear readers,

Today, I’m thrilled to offer a preliminary glimpse into my newest creation, a piano piece titled “Sweet Dance”. While still in its draft stages, I believe it embodies the spirit of dance – gentle, passionate, and at times, unpredictable.

Sweet Dance by Denis Chevalier

The piece, marked “allegro ma non troppo” (Brisk but not too much), has been crafted to be played without the damper pedal. This choice emphasizes clarity and precision, allowing each note to breathe and dance on its own, reminiscent of ballerinas moving gracefully across a stage.

While I’ve been engrossed in various projects recently, from my book on Staff Engineering to my ventures into lambda calculus programming, music remains a language closest to my heart. It allows me to express what words often cannot, and “Sweet Dance” is a testament to that sentiment.

As an accomplished musician, I’ve always believed that every composition is a journey. This piece, in its current form, may evolve, reshape, and find new dimensions as it matures. But the essence, the soul of the dance, will remain.

I invite you to immerse yourself in this draft, to feel the rhythm, the ebbs and flows, and to dance along. Feedback, as always, is not just welcomed but deeply appreciated. Your insights help shape my musical journey, and together, we can make “Sweet Dance” a composition that resonates with many.

Warm regards

Denis
